Fallen Arches Description: "Transplanted from New York, Duke and his brother Frankie Romano live in a rundown LA apartment with their alcoholic mother (Karen Black). With their father in prison, Duke has taken on the responsibility of protecting their family. He wants Frankie to make something of his life, get out of L.A., go to school. Unsure about his future and lacking the ambition, Frankie and his screwball friends attempt to make an easy dollar by robbing a truck load of expensive designer shoes. Unfortunately, the shoes are the property of a local racketeer named Nicky Kaplan – and Nicky has a thing about shoes. With Nicky hot on his trail, Frankie's plans quickly unravel. Fallen Arches walks the line between satire and reality to explore the complexities of sibling rivalry and betrayal, turning conventional genre elements askew in a landscape where drama meets farce and farce becomes brutal reality."
