In The Running Man, Schwarzenegger plays a solider who is persecuted for disobeying an order to kill unarmed protesters. He is soon thrown into an ultraviolent, extremely popular game show (hosted by Richard Dawson) where he must survive the deadly arena in order to be cleared of his "crime.""
