I don't want to date myself, but it's really disheartening when I start a review with a paragraph about the release of classic titles on DVD only to realize that this classic came out five years or so after I started watching porn. The Taboo series has been one of the most critically acclaimed lines of smut flicks of all time. This volume comes a little late in the series, after the really impressive and edgy stories had been used up. Still, when you compare it to the features that currently pass for plot driven porn, this Kirdy Stevens flick has to be better. Besides, we get to go back and watch Tiffany Storm and Brittany Morgan. (Not to mention Nina Hartley when she was actually good looking from the waist up as well as in the seat of her jeans.)

We open with Nina working out in her bedroom. Lifting weights has her glimmering with a thin sheen of sweat, but that doesn't bother her man Scott Irish. He comforts her with some words of encouragement about an upcoming audition then sends her to the shower. The hot water has a strange effect on Nina and we get this freaky sort of premonition thing that sends her to the floor, rubbing her clit as we cut to Alica Monet working over Joey Silvera. This busty young woman was always one of my favorite performers. She has a pretty face, great real tits and perhaps best of all, loved to show off how flexible she is.

The deal is, Nina has a twin brother who is the object of her obsession. Every time she starts to get hot, her mind switches over to her brother's sexual exploits. Two weeks later, Nina returns to see Krista, on her way out of town. She's going to see her brother, to confess her love to him. Before she gets there, Nina is hit by another of her spells, seeing Joey busy with a busty brunette, Tiffany Storm. Tiffany was always a little soft around the middle with big, floppy tits and a pretty average face. Still, there was something sexy about the way she fucked. She gives a great ride in another scene that is chopped up by shots of Nina getting off.

Back at the ranch, Joey is actually having to fight off the amorous advances of his sexy fiancâÁ Brittany Morgan. This sweet talking southern blonde had an ass to die for, a smile that could charm a shark and tits that were just too perfect to be real. (Or were they?) Wisely, Joey figures out that fucking her is a better idea than ignoring her. Brit sticks her pretty butt in his face, but we cut away to a truck on a road. Back to the action for a few missionary strokes and he pops on her face. (A thirty second scene? Anyone still wonder why I don't think porn is worse today than it was a decade ago?)

When Nina arrives, the tension is hard to miss. She's making a play for Joey, while he can't talk about anything but his love for Brit. For some reason the big kisses she plants on his face don't go over to well with his girlfriend. This time we get a more complete scene between these two. With just her white panties on, Brittany slides down and starts sucking his cock. They move right back into mish, but Brit is doing her best to keep things interesting, pumping her hips and taking his deep into her blonde beaver. They hook up in a very well shot doggy, but we don't get a pop. (Probably because we saw it earlier.)

With tensions high, Brittany agrees to go with Joey and Nina to see the psychic. By now, the dialog is getting to be a bit much. Look, deep into the crystal. I see an audience, they are nodding off, their cocks are limp in their laps, if we don't do something soon, they will be lost forever. Quick Joey, fuck Nina before she gets old and you give up performing for a career as a director. With a heavy orange tint, the twins finally get around to having sex. (Add that one to the list of things my English professors never thought I would get paid to write.) All kidding aside, Nina is in her prime here, giving one hell of a nice blowjob and happily showing off her fine backside. I suppose those of outside of Arkansas might still be wondering why Joey is so hot for his sister, but that IS the point of the Taboo series isn't it? At least she sucks his seed from his sack, avoiding for the moment the four headed mutant babies that come from sort of twisted union. (I guess the touching love story didn't get me over the little, dude she's your sister, bump.)

Classic? I don't know about that. Story driven? Well yeah, to a fault. Following Nina through her incestuous obsession may put this above modern porn in terms of story, but it gets in the way of the sex too often. Cutting in and out of scenes too often ruins the heat and it also ends up wasting performances by Brittany and Tiffany. Even when the sex isn't chopped up, it isn't very well lit, shot or paced. Some of the Taboo movies took on incest and dealt with some painful issues. In this one, Nina's lust for her brother is just written off as a past life loves come home to roost. The dialog is long and rambling, bogging down what might have been a half way interesting story. If you want more than just slam bam, you might enjoy it. Otherwise all this has to offer is a young Nina Hartley, the totally sexy Brittany Morgan and a crash course in how far porn has come in terms of well shot sex.

Starring: By the time Kirdy Stevens got to the sixth outing of his incest series, he was shooting on video and running shot of ideas. Wisely, he handed the directing chores to Robert McCallum, who had a knack for bringing out the sexual magnetism of his actors. By guiding Nina Hartley through one of her best performances, he gives the film a sexual crackle. Nina plays the twin sister of Joey Silvera (playing the theatrical director of "Taboo 4"), who are linked psychically. Whenever he's humping someone, she feels the sexual twitch.

Cheaper than the earlier films, this outing offers little beyond the central performances.

Whenever Nina's overcome with uncontrollable lust, the video ignits. That leads to a steamy final act where Nina plots to steal her brother from his sexy girlfriend Britt Morgan.

Nina, Nina, Nina. Her masturbation scenes, especially the one in the shower, are blistering, and her scheming attempt to seduce Silvera will get your heart racing.

The subplots aren't as interesting. Frank James was always a flat actor and that hurts his twosome with psychic girlfriend Krista Lane. Scott Irish, as Nina's unhappy hubby, is another dullard.

A 7. Not up to the first four in the series, but worth seeing for Nina's sensual performance.
