David Stanley has quietly put together some really good movies at Wicked. Some of us have been watching him for a long time though. He's tried some rather odd stories of late, but this one is pretty simple. It's got a huge flashback and some long segments without any dialog, but it's mostly a love story. Chris Cannon and Mika Tan are lovers who seem too perfect for each other. Naturally they hit a few snags in the road, but unlike mainstream romantic comedies, we don't have to sit through bad lip synching of Motown or long periods of ice cream eating. Instead we get to watch the side characters fuck like bunnies. That's enough to keep me watching from start to finish.

Roxy DeVille & Talon

The movie kicks off quickly with Roxy and Talon embroiled in some serious oral sex. She has that big cock in her mouth and is going to town. Even with both hands on it, there is still plenty for Roxy to play with. This is an aggressive blowjob, the kind we usually don't see from a company like Wicked. Their whirlwind romance brings us some of the best dialog I've seen in an adult feature in the past year. Mika is perfect in this role and really carries the day. Naturally they end up getting too close too fast and that only sends flighty Mika into the arms of another. Poor Chris walks in on her with Evan Stone's cock buried in her throat. With perhaps the bet throat in all of porn, the beautiful Asian queen makes short work of Evan's long shaft. She does an amazing job orally and manages to shine even with some pretty moody lighting at work here. This is a long oral segment that really should become the blueprint for great feature sex scenes. With enough time to really work up the heat, Evan and Mika seem ready to tear each other apart. They don't fuck for nearly as long, but it is still a hot little scene that ends with a big shot all over her pussy.

We move back to present day where the star-crossed couple proves that there is hope for sappy endings even in a porn flick. While we may be rooting for them to get together, the real treat is watching them finally get to fuck. Having already throated Stone, Mika makes it look easy as she takes Cannon to the base. The romantic lighting and emotional connection is strong, but so is the sexual heat. This is a great feature for couples or anyone who likes well-written dialog. The love story is solid, cute and has just enough believability to make it work. Cannon is a good lead who doesn't get in the way. Mika handles her dialog with a great mix of manic energy and serious emotion. There isn't really much for the side characters to do as the story is told through flashback, notes and some rather funny slapstick moments. Sexually, the core is very good. Mika is a superstar and with only two scenes, is underused somewhat. (She does have a bonus scene from another movie on the DVD.) Stanley throws in a nice scene at the start with Talon and Roxy. Their energy makes that scene works. There aren't any bad scenes in this movie, but a few more probably wouldn't hurt. I like what is here and think that we are maybe a few story steps and two great scenes away from an award-caliber effort.
